The lock off valve is normally located next to the natural gas equipment installed. It will be in the kitchen if gas is connected to your stove or on the outside of the property near to the gas meter.

Three quarter 3/4" galvanized pipe is recommended for a Domestic Service. Commercial Service pipes will vary based on the gas load requirements to operate the equipment.
Natural Gas will still be flowing through the internal pipe from the meter to the Lock Off valve.
