The Geomatics Unit is a dedicated team of highly skilled professionals who are passionate about leveraging geospatial technologies to deliver innovative solutions for complex challenges faced by the NPC and its clients.

Our experts specialize in a wide array of geomatics services, including surveying, mapping, remote sensing, and spatial data analysis. We are committed to staying current with the latest industry advancements and integrating cutting-edge tools, such as geographic information systems (GIS), to ensure the highest quality outcomes for NPC and its clients, as well as for the Barbados National Oil Company Limited and Barbados National Terminal Company Limited which form the Government run Energy Group of Barbados. 

The Geomatics Unit's collaborative approach enables us to work closely with diverse groups to develop tailored strategies that align with specific goals and drive sustainable growth. These strategies and technology implementations include but are not limited to;

• E-Form to replace paper-based field reports
• Interactive Maps – These can be accessed from anywhere on any device
• Dashboards – Providing managers and supervisors with a quick status check on critical activities
• GPS Data Collecting Equipment – Enabling fast field data capture thereby improving information process flows
• Ground Penetrating Radars (GPR) – Efficiently and accurately locate natural gas or other utility pipelines to reduce/eliminate service outages during utility repairs
• E-GIS usage – Using the Geomatics Hub website, now every employee of the Energy Group along with select external contractors can access rich GIS data online at the following link!
